Josh and Ali - MARRIED!

I am not really sure where to begin this post.  I guess I will take a cue from Maria from the Sound of Music.  "Let's start at the very beginning."  Many years ago when I was a 3rd grade teacher, a brown-eyed brunette bounced into my classroom at Ridgedale Elementary.  From the start, I knew she was going to be a fun one!  She loved anything with a frog on it, the color green, and her family.  She quickly won my heart and became one of "my girls."  Her name was Ali.

Fast forward 18 years.  Now Ali is an elementary teacher.  (When we met to discuss her wedding, I picked her car out instantly because it had a frog on the back window.)  She met a young man named Josh and their love of football connected them instantly.  She is a HUGE Cleveland Browns fan and Josh is a Detroit Lions fan.  It was trash talk about their teams that brought them together.

This past weekend, they joined together as husband and wife.  It was an all around amazing day!  They chose a newer Knoxville area wedding venue, Windriver in Lenoir City.  I cannot describe in words how beautiful this place is.  You'll just have to see it for yourself. I love photographing weddings!  However, this was a first for me - photographing a former student's wedding. Quite an honor!

So many amazing vendors came together for Josh and Ali's Wedding day.

First of all, I love this wedding. I love the personal touches and it has just an overall comfortable feel. You definitely captured a warmth from the couple and their day. How fun that they were able to get photos of him "carrying her across the threshold!"
