In Mid-October, I shot a gorgeous wedding with my friend, Darcy from Darcy Ferris Photography, on a family farm that is an up-and-come vineyard in Franklin, Tennessee. Revolution Spring is a gorgeous place chock full of history. Family history. The groom, Joel, not only grew up on the the property, but his grandparents lived in an amazing 1797 home on the property that is in the process of being restored. As I roamed around the property with Joel's sister, Sarah, I quickly caught the vision of children running all around their grandparents land, and those children playing in the barn. After my tour of the property, I was ready to move in! Overall, everything went off without a hitch. Both families were a joy to work with, and there wasn't a cloud in the sky.
There are so many things about this wedding that stick out to me. First and foremost is Katie's unbelievably beautiful wedding dress. She purchased it in Knoxville at The Gilded Gown. I had seen pictures of it, but they didn't do it justice. Katie was gung-ho about me taking her dress to the barn for detail shots. It was a challenge, but with Sarah's help, we were successful!
I hope you enjoy some of my favorites from Joel and Katie's wedding day.
